Hello All:
I consider myself pretty fortunate having a Highlander Classic S2H13668C-4 heading my way soon.
I‘d like to draw on the vast wealth of knowledge here on the SPages for suggestions on line matches from owners of this model.
Note that I had a wonderful conversation with Mr. Meiser and have ordered a SGS line from Mr. Godshall as recommended. I’m guessing this will become my ”go to” after a bit of practice and dialing in tips. (thanks again for your time on the phone Bob Meiser).
Like many of you, I have a box full of lines (scandi, Skagit, mid-belly) from Rio/Airflo and SA, for 7-8wt two handers. I’m curious to know which other lines/tip combinations others have found workable for surface/subsurface fishing with this model Meiser.
Again, I plan on going the Godshall line route, but want to take advantage of other lines I may already own as conditions warrant.
For context, my preference is for spey/dee style flies and other sparsely tied traditional patterns, but do on occasion sling a skagit setup in the late fall. My home waters are the Skeena systems in north western BC.
I’ll be test casting those lines I already own, but look forward to your suggestions, thanks!
Steve
