Line Wallets

Excellent question about the wallets. I've searched forever for a large size mesh wallet like the small ones Rio supplies with its tips. Shooting heads require a larger size, and it sure would be nice to find some that would hold 3-4 heads plus polyleaders.

 

I bought one made by Guideline from the Irish Angler (a sponsor, I think) that is pretty good. Like the RIO, but larger.

 

Rio has one that is some larger then the model furnished for tips.

 

Wallets

i have not yet found a wallet suited to our needs. I am currently pestering Fishpond USA to make a wallet that is able to house our heads and tips. So far it has been slow going.

There will be a large shooting head wallet on the market before Fall 2008.

I use the worm wallets that some bass anglers use. Lots of sizes and designs to choose from. Most of them have interchangeable ziplock bags that attach to rings in the binder. I've got one that was under $10 and currently holds about a dozen lines, heads and polyleaders. Not pretty, but it works.

 

I use the same worm wallet. I boought it ar Bi-Mart for under ten bucks. Works great.

 

I have several of the Wood River wallets, they are 6" x 6" folded and have 4 mesh swing page pockets. Not certain if they are still in production.

I have a couple of the Rio Wallets and really love em. Meshed area for drying lines.

 

Head Wallets

I have of the wood river wallets and it is nice but I am pretty sure they are out production. I did get a "worm" wallet and they are good. You have lots of options to configure them for your own use.

CD Wallet

I use a nice CD wallet ($1 or so at dollar store), use a hole punch to make extra vent holes in each holde, label with sharpie. Works perfect.

CD wallet is a damn good idea.

PS: Picked one up from garage sale for 50 cents. Big enough for my Heads and tips needed streamside. The rest stays in Worm organizer made by Field and Streams that has 8 ziplock bags, too big for sling bag but good enough to stay in car.
