I recently broke the tip off of my T3 and I am not the original owner.

Has anybody had experience with orvis customer service on a rod that is not under original owner waranty.

Let me know how your experience was.
Price, shipping, time ect...

You pay an additional $325 and the will hook you up with a Helios...

Not sure if that is a good option or not, I had never broke a rod while fighting a fish until I began using Helios rods, they replaced them, but the only customer service I want is the one I don't have to use for non-sense the first time I ever use a rod....

I should add, the reason for breakage was due to guides wrapped too tight on two rods, not because of crappy blanks...

Orvis Customer Service

I have found the Orvis Customer Service easy to deal with. Call or email them and they will give you an estimated cost and delivery for repairs. It may be a problem for you to get a new tip for an older rod that has a non warranty issue. They certainly will be able to explain the options available for your repair.
