The NFC static deflection charts on their website show tapers fairly similar to classic Loomis two-handed rods (GLX, GL3, GL4), with light tips and very progressive, to stiffer mid and especially strong butt sections. The handful of Godshall tapers that I have cast are similar to this. It gives a light crisp feel with shorter floating lines. Feels pretty different from the strong tip, deep flex, through action class of two-handed rods. I’ve not cast an NFC, so this is a guess from their charts, but is consistent with their pedigree. Hopefully someone with first hand experience (and providing more detail than “they’re awesome!” …) can chime in.

 

I too am curious, but have no experience with that rod. I am getting to know and really liking the NFC 8wt Iconoglass. Steve Godshall seemed to be impressed with the flex, and expressed confidence in Gary Loomis tapers.
