Hello everyone. I have a chance to buy the above mentioned rod as a blank, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this model (or this brand for that matter). They are advertised as fast action, and I was thinking about matching it up with the Loop Adapted line system. Any thoughts, impressions, stories, etc. would be appreciated. Tight lines.

I have a amtak 2 piece 13' 8wt that I built It was said to be a fast action rod but I would beg to differ. I have heard the 3 piece is faster. There is a lack of power in this rod. but its a cheap way to get started..............Nate
Thanks, Nate. I was beginning to lose hope on getting a response. It's the two-piece I'm getting. My second spey and first venture into rod building. Like you said, a cheap introduction.
I'm curious as to what lines you have used or do use with this rod. If it is on the slow side as you say, I'll probably stay away from the Adapted. 7/8 Midspey sound about right?

I use a reg dt 8 wt. but have casted just about every line I could get my hands on with it . your mid spey will work, remember this rod you must keep real vertical 9it will shorten your effective stroke.........Nate
