I love my Everglades, but I want to point out they are not fully framed. I have had the running line on an 8 wt Cortland Compact jump outside the frame - it is quite thin. Line handling will be critical to make them work with mono shooting lines.
A smooth powerful drag that has a lot of gradual adjustment, and you can service it if needed. Many shops have reels in stock.

The out going click is much more subtle than the incoming. I like the purr going out, it’s not loud, but a great sound.
