Thoughts on G Loomis Native Run Quinault 9'6" 8wt

Just bought this rod recently. I personally think it's a great rod. It casts great; sort of a medium fast action despite reading some reviews of it claiming it to be "fast" (may be related to how rods have become more and more fast over time).

I plan to use it for nymphing smaller creeks that I otherwise wouldn't be able to swing.

Posting this thread wondering if anyone else has had some experience with this rod, and can possibly provide some more info because I was able to find very little related to it (e.g. year released, likes, dislikes, price new, price used, stories, etc).

I used to have one years ago I remember it being pretty stiff and had to over line it. At that time lines were rarely overweighted and pretty much at true weight....but now I think an SA Anadro or Titan, which are 1 1/2 and 2 steps heavier respectively would work well on that rod. It was a great streamer rod with a sink tip. Anything less than that was pretty hard to load.
