Yeah, I saw a couple Sage "Histories" but as you noted they are for the single hand rods. I couldn't find one for just "spey" rods. Don't think Sage made spey versions in all of those models.

OK UPDATED:
(Interesting note - a lot of my searches directed me to-Spey Pages)

Sage G-III Spey (Brownie) 1989
" TCR 2002
" SLT 2003
" Xi2 2004
" VT2 2006
" Z-Axis 2007
" TCX 2009
" ONE 2011
" Method 2013
" MOD 2016
" X 2016
" Igniter 2019
" Sonic 2020
" R8 2025

Seems like a big gap 2020-2025? Something missing?
Covid

This is maybe a dumb question but was there a reason why sage meter brought out

This is maybe a dumb question but was there a reason that Sage didn't continue making a 8150-4 model when they brought out newer ranges of rods. I have 3 and also a 9140-3.
The market calls for shorter rods. Yes people will disagree however if a high % of the market is looking for a 13'0 that's going to be the focus.

I don't believe there was a Xi2 spey rod....this was the salt rod series after the RPLXi.

You had spey in the DS, graphite ii
Euro (graphite iiie) which looked like an XP, much like the other rod that was never labeled an SLT, but appeared like one (Traditional?)
VPS graphite iii models (green wraps)
others:
Accel series
Pulse series

There could be more but not less.

The Brownie...I don' remember all the different models but Göran Andersson helped design a couple or more and they were a bit different (euro/scandi style???) vs. traditional (long belly casters). Some have said the original 'Death Star' was the Andersson 8124-3 iii. It is/was known as a line launcher.

As for the 2020-2025 gap sage was transitioning rod designers and there was not much change to the line up, and it took a while to R8 tech update the spey series.
I found an Xi2 in my google AI search but that doesn't make is true.
I also got an AI hit that said the G IV spey was introduced in 1983, but the G IV graphite material didn't come out until about 1993 so 10 years off.
I guess the old adage "don't believe everything you read" still applies.

The following contains a couple cut and pastes off the Rio line recommendation charts back in the day. Not a comprehensive list of all Brownie models, but it does provide some information on European vs. Traditional Brownies among others -

I wished I had printed that whole chart or had saved it. I have the 7110-4 and 8134-4 Z-Axis so I only printed the page containing the Z’s, think some Scott rods on that list too. I’m sure that line/rod list is out there somewhere floating around on some web page.

The way back machine,
If you can figure out how to use it.

Don't forget VXP. The 6129 was one of the greatest summer run rods I've ever used.
Probably final update.
I'm sure not 100% complete. For sure the European series haven't shown up in my searches.

I presume I'm missing something here r.e model run designations or such like, but where does the European fall in there?, if memory serves well enough should be after Z Axis round about there.
Yorkie.

My recollection is that the original 3 piece Brownies were referred to as "European" rods. Then some additional 4 piece rods in GIIIe and possibly G 4 were referred to as European rods. A friend had a 7141-4 years ago that I think was a GIIIe greenie. But it could have been a blue blank. The 7141-4 is listed in the chart in my response above as European, along with some other 4 piece rods. I'm not aware of a separate line of Sage rods branded "European" but I didn't really follow the many iterations of Sage rods after the Brownies.

Some info
