Well... let me start by saying, what a sweet rod. I have a 14’ 6/7wt. I’ve tested out several lines and ended up going with a Gaelforce Equalizer 37’ head with 10’ and 14’ poly leaders. I’m just not a good enough caster to pull off anything longer Yet...!
I own a couple of Bobs CX rods and absolutely love them. But...This baby takes a little more A game to make a beautiful cast. I’ve really been trying to slow things down and beat into my head to use the bottom hand. I guess like all things it just takes repetition. It’s all starting to come together, and there seems to be no end to the power of this rod. I mean you can really send it! There’s nothing like throwing a 100’ cast and seeing it bounce off the bushes on the other side of the river
Anyway those are my thoughts so far, just figured I would share. Trying out something totally new is always a challenge, but I dig the journey! I’m thinking an MKX 16’er next
