I bought the transformer about 10 months ago and I love it. When I researched it before buying I saw one post that stated the quick connect feature on his vice was a little loose and had some movement in it. The quick connect on my vice is as solid as if it were permanently connected and yet I can change jaws in 2 seconds. The jaws that are attached to the articulated arm are nice and fine for tying on small hooks while the streamer jaws are notched on one side to hold large hooks more firmly. When I bought the vice I thought the tube fly vice wouldn't get much use but it has rarely been changed out for the other jaws in the last 4 months even though like I said it would only take 2 seconds.
My main complaint is that it only comes with 1 material clip for all three jaws and you need to really tighten it down to stop it from flopping around. Also I like to attach my vice to my desk with an extension arm that has the standard 3/8" hole but the shaft on the Stonfo is 10 mm so I had to use a 10mm bit to bore out the hole slightly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Stonfo transformer vice. Although I haven't had it a long time with this pandemic I have been able to get a lot of use out of it and I am really impressed with it.
