Experimenting with a new material/hook combo. The tail articulates. It is tied-in at the hook shank's midway point and the curved hook (Daiichi 1260 #6)allows the tail to swing freely. Tail is adhesive-stabilized "Crystal Tri-Lobal " synthetic hackle. Have not fished it yet.

Trilobal version above

Hi FlyMaker, where did you get the tri-lobal "hackles" from?
It comes in many colors, two different lengths and sevearl grades. There is just trilobal, trilobal Crystal and trilobal with holo-mylar added (like holo flashabou).

The manufacturer is Cascade Crest Tools up near Table Rock, OR. They have a website and also sell it direct at a slight premium.

Orvis repackages the cascade product and sells it a bit cheaper.

Bob Marriott's carries Cascade and Orvis materials - FYI
