in a perfect world far away,,,well, just a few miles really :D ,there exists a mother lode of chrome bright fish!,salmon!,,,pacific salmon, known for being rather tightlipped in freshwater,,,`lockjaw' is a common term used :( ,so if YOU were to target these bad boys with a two-hander,100 miles from salt,,,,,what would you use for lines, flies, tactics,i have or have read many books on the subject, but there is more info to be had from the members here as a whole,i'm certain of that! :lildevl:

Chinook

The run of Chinook I fish in July tend to hold in the deepest faster runs so the heaviest sinktip lines are best. For flies I find the summer Chinooks hit a small fly the best single egg patterns about the size of a pea. Keep leader length to less than two feet to keep the fly in the zone.
