Oh yeah, very pretty! Kind of low weight for its size but nice. I’m a big fan of not having the company logos right in your face the way many reels have them, like a free billboard, and this one is classy in that regard.I love the clean look and the lightly brushed finish! If I had a Zenith gathering dust...
Normally only one is supposed to be engaged on those style hardy reels, and the other off. When only one is engaged it is a bit smoother and quieter in the intended retrieve direction than in the outgoing direction. Flip both for going the other direction. But since there can be a lot of variation of the “drag” depending on the springs sometimes people engage both to get more drag if they feel they need it. But then the clicker will be then be the same going either direction. This is what mine looks like I have seen others that have a spare but no way of engaging it.

On the contrary, apologies to you for semi-hijacking the thread out of curiosity. With the single row of holes your reel really does have a St. John/st George vibe to it. Never seen one of those before is my only excuse.Apologies for the late response. I was on the road. The reel is in fact a fly reel and not a centrepin. Either lhw or rhw can be employed as with most twin pawl configurations.

For those interested, I would let it go for $200usd. I can find a Zenith close to this price on the auction site. Btw, I’m typing this on my phone, so if the picture doesn’t show I can email it to those interested. My home desktop computer is currently down, argh.

I was looking for a zenith recently and got one for that price from Gary Anderson, the rod builder. You could try him too.
