Looking to buy a used Echo SR Switch 5 wt. I like the fast-ish action on these rods quit a bit. If you have something you think is a good substitute I might be game, but if you have the Echo SR I'm ready to buy one. I prefect the newer slate color, but I am flexible.

Yeah, I was thinking about that one as well but wasn't sure. Does anyone know how the "classic" compares with the SR? I have an Echo Classic Spey rod (same family as the one you have) that is very definitely not fast, but looks like the Classic switch rods ARE labeled as fast and the speys as medium fast. Makes sense since switch rod are supposed to be able to overhead cast, I guess. The SR is faster than some of the other brands of switch rods.
