Hello Gents
I got a great deal on a windcutter floater (7/8/9) today. I was told that it is a discontinued model and is all yellow in color. Since I know that the line most shops carry today is two tone green/yellow, my questions are:
How old might this line be?
Why was this model discontinued or was the green tip simply added to aid in casting?
Any other info. to add?

The line would be 2 to 3 years old. The color change was added to let you see when the belly/back taper ended and the running line began, which aids in casting because you have an easily seen visual reference for how far the belly is from the rod tip. Although the Windcutter had its front taper refined last year, the original is still a fine casting line.

The all yellow WC has better running line in my opinion.

Sorry to report, Taki, but the guy I talked with said that the line I bought was the last windcutter he had in his stock.
