I am working on improving my handling of long belly lines and have a 14' 3" CND Solstice 7/8. I am looking for guidance on which XLT (new style) line weight would be the best match for this rod?

To this point I have been using a CND GPS 7/8, 594 grains for a 65' head and it suits the rod very well. As I work up to longer lengths of line, say around 75', I am concerned that when using a XLT #7 that I might be underloading the rod (I think the new style is 650 grains for a 85' head length).

Any suggestions or observations much appreciated?
