Looking for input from the forum. I have just acquired this rod and am very impressed by its awesome power. I have tried a couple of different lines on it, but not to any satisfaction yet. Wondering if others out there have had any real success at nailing the combination

What I have tried:
Hardy Mach I Plus in a 9/10 ( thinking I may go up a line weight as Hardy tends to underate their lines)

Airflo Long Delta

Scie Anglers XLT

Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Small world, purchased the same rod yesterday, and have cast the following lines.
8/9 XLT
9/10 Carron
9/10 XLT
New GS 8/9 & 9/10
Airflo 10/11 Trad
Of the above the winners are the 9/10 at the end of the head 65' mark and the 8/9 XLT.
Have a few more lines to try will post with the results.

Might try the Ian Gordon mid (75 ft.) 9/10. I found it a perfect match on the 15 ft. 9/10 GLX Greasedliner. Found the 8/9 XLT just a tad on the heavy side allthough this just might be my personal preference.

A fishin bud has that rod and no other rod I've cast loved the 8/9 XLT line more.
The 85' 10/11 Carron rocks also.
