I recently purchased some of this stuff and love it. Im blown away with those ultra compact spools. Sadly biggest size they offer is 0x 14lb. Did any of you used 0x Trouthunter nylon for bigger steelhead? I know in fact 15lb ultragreen is all I ever need, just curious to see how 0x Trouthunter stand up to 15lb or even 12lb maxima.

0x

0x is good for summer Steelhead.

If you want 01x, 02x or 03x just go to the Floro. It is excellent. Does not get nicked, turn white bouncing off gravel and the size to strength ratio is really good.

Do you have an issue with holding knots with the flouro?
A friend of mine uses the flouro for trout and has had problems with
his knots failing. And it is not his knot tying ability. Seems to have started when he went flouro.

When tying knots with fluorocarbon, not all knots are compatible.
Choose knots that do not pinch the load end. The Clinch Knot is a good example of what not to use.

Thanks

What about blood knots? That actually was the knot he had
problems with. I even tried to tie one for him and it slipped
and I never have a problem with mono

A blood knot pinches the load end ... try a Double Surgeons or Double Overhand Knot :)
Remember not to lubricate fluorocarbon when you tie knots. The surface is slick enough and any extra will cause slippage.
