Had this idea of adding the long spey hackle after I placed the wing to get extra movement, and this is what I ended up with. Don't know what to think about it, so will let the fishes decide ;-)

Your floss work is so clean it almost looks photoshoped! What is the tailing material? I can tell its been chopped but cant tell what it might be?

Yes I was naughty with the scissors on the tail. It is goose wing feather.

But I am not editing the pictures ;-) The floss gets smooth by consistent layerering of materials: Two layers of tying thread side by side - no slips or ripples allowed, then two layers of flat silver tinsel christmas leftovers, side by side, no slips or ripples allowed, then two layers of floss, first layer wrapped in wraps of even width to make a surface as smooth as possible and then a second thinner layer (wider wraps) to smooth out any ripples that might have occured nonregarding ;-)
