I'm trying to find a chart that shows the grain weights of Rios various tips. Can't seem to find it on thier site. Has anyone seen this? Maybe it doesn't exist.

Yup it's there

Go to their website, then go to the fly line section. Select shooting heads, etc. section. Select the sink tip you want the info on. There is a chart for each tip or head type at the bottom of the page.

Matt, Thanks for the reply. I must be blind because I still can't see it. I found several places for head weights, but not sink tips. For example, how many grains is a 15' type 8 tip for a 9 wt.

try running a search with the key words "line section weights" go back to the date of 02/14/03 to a thread started by bob pauli [thanks mr. pauli]. there is a link to a chart providing a breakdown of rio spey lines with individual section weights and as a whole.

And no need to do a search. Just scroll to the bottom of this page. There's a list of threads that are similar to this. Includes Bob Pauli's thread.
