I'm going over my sink tips in anticipation for the winter, and I come across my Rio type 8 tip that has a big chunk of the outer coat missing. The inner core is exposed, and looks fine. The damaged piece spans about a centimeter long. What do I do: ignore it, repair it, or replace it?

I lean toward repair. I thought about a coat of cement over the effected area. If that doesn't work, there is also cutting in and buiding loops.

What would you guys do?
