I'm looking for a reel to replace my leeda in the sub-$300 range and I like the look of the Tioga Magnum and the Flylogic FLA 11/12/13. I was wondering if any of you fine folks have some experience with these reels and what you think of them.

Hey Slim...

I have not used the Fly Logic but I have used the Teton products alot. I think the Teton/Tioga reels will serve you well. They are built like a tank and have a "NO BS" warranty.

I have an older Fly Logic in the shop and while I have not used it, it seems to be rather well built.

Another nice reel in your price range is the TFO 425. It is very smoooth!

Another to consider is the Cortland Mag. 200D. They price out at about $110.00; the 200D holds a WF10 and a CHUNK of backing and are a pretty darned good reel.

Cortland 200D = rebadged Leeda

a friend drives a Subaru, rebadged by Saab, and actually less expensive. Dubbed the Saabaru, or Snobaru.

I've fished a Teton Tioga for a good while now and am a big fan. Very reliable and well-built--and affordable!
