I havent heard of them either, are you sure its Tica and not Tioga?? Or perhaps you heard it wrong and it was NauTICA? Just guessing. Give some more info as to where you heard about them etc, and i'm sure someone can help. Also hit the search engines cuz if its out there they should find them.
How is the vedder fishing? I was there for a few days around the end of march and it was very slow,,,for the fly anyways. Saw two hooked upriver on shrimp.
They are made by the same people who make the fine Tica spinning reels. They make both a standard arbor model and three different large arbor models. There is only one size large enough to be a spey reel and that is the 211 size, available in three similar models in the large arbor version. Capacity there is WF11&200yds of 30# so it'd make a nice 7/8 or perhaps 8/9 spey reel. I know nothing of their drags nor anything about durability, etc.
