Im headed up to the Bulkley in Sept, will fish the Bulkley and possible Kispiox. Im thinking to buy a pontoon boat to fish these rivers. I have no experience with these boats, so looking for something simple and relatively safe. As I live in UK I will be leaving it with my pal in Telkwa to use when I fish each year. I am looking for a relatively inexpencive model for 1 person. I see Canadia tyres sell a Skagit 8ft boat. Can anyone give me recommendation on a relatively cheep boat that will be safe for the Bulkley and Kispiox. I will only use the boat to get to the pools, then fish them on foot.

I fished last fall using a water master inflatable raft ( 1 man raft) with a guide - was the Kodiak model. very light, easy to maneuver, safe...I liked it enough I bought one this summer for myself- Used it on the Madison, Yellowstone and Missouri rivers in MT.

Not sure what your definition of inexpensive is- but I feel these are great rafts / 1 man devices and would recommend you to look at their web site- big sky inflatables - they are located in Missoula MT

McBikes rents pontoon boats

There is a bike/fly shop in Smithers called McBike's that rents pontoon boats for $50 per day. That might be a better option than buying and hauling back to Euro. Plus, I'm not sure that either Oscar's or McBikes actually have any inflatables on hand to sell. If that's what you're thinking of, you should check ahead with them.
