tied this up tonight for a next outing
I think purple looks good in the water.
just a made up name for a fly the old way

A long time ago I worked at a shop that sat on the Erie canal. In summer, carp would take mulberries as they dropped off the bushes. I tied a big, purple deer hair bug, trimmed round, and caught them on the rise.

I called it The Grape.

I like yours way better.

I think it's a Zilliox, "Jin"gle, and a Dingle!! :chuckle: Can't beat that combo!!!!!

Outstanding tie, Tim. Proportions, colors, and subtle contrast do not get much better than this.
