I rarely, rarely take myself out of my hair-wing comfort zone but after having a 2 hour phone conversation with my fly tying mentor Bryant F and some tips on BM management I gave this a go.

Puts me mixed in some extraordinary company with others on this site hopefully I am not reducing the real estate value on this section of the forum.

The Lady Caroline, I had no olive seal's fur so I concocted a mix of light brown and green to come close. Comments/Suggestions always welcomed.

Looking good.

I too have been without olive-green when dressing this one. A pinch of purple with green dubbing will do the trick. Then add brown to the mix.

Seal or wool dubbing. Give it a try.

Looks great! The olive body is only from some sources, Kelson I think...William Brown's version has a brown based body and so do lot's of other vintage examples. Either way, you've got one buggy fly there.
