Heggeli is a famous Norwegian wetfly made by Erling Sand. This is an Spey variant of it. Tinsel body, rump feather from pheasant on body and as crest. Mallard on top, doubled up.

Congrats....this well dressed fly will appear as a natural drifting morsel in any clear water currents while it’s subtle application of sparkle will attract a taker. I’m going to tie up an assortment for the Restigouche.

Nice fly, always liked this pattern. I have a nice example of this pattern tied by Davie McPhail who has a nice web channel on fly tying. I believe he shows the tying of this pattern on his channel so thought I would share In case you were interested.
