I am sure Dana and/or Dennis will fill you in with the details...but the box is on its way back to the rightful owner.

A simple thank you just does not give justice to the gratitude this board and Canadian steelheaders to the North deserve! :)

RIGHT ON!That's the best news I've heard all day!Glad the word finally reached the guy holding them and he came around.I hope he was man enough to turn down the reward though. No one, including Dana should have to give in to someone like that.

I hope they arrive safely and in one piece.

Ryan,
What a nice story. When I first read your posted request for assistance I thought the possibility of getting your friend's heirloom box back was slim to nil. This was very cool. Kudos to all that made it happen.

Dennis, I can imagine how good it's going to be to get that personal treasure back. It could not mean more to anyone on earth than it does to you, and the fact that this meaning will not be lost is reassuring.

Great news!

Thats great, you see the information reach power of the internet can have some benefits to fly fishing.

Now can we work on my fly wallet I lost 10 years ago up in Michigan while steelheading ?

(Just kidding, but I still have night mares about the number of my own tied flies that were lost)

Tonyd,

From what I understand, the guy wasn't interested in any reward, he just handed over the box.
