I just started taking this rod out again. I have the older Rio Skagit flight 425 gr @ 23.5 feet, pale orange with the 35lb grip shooter. Throwing some really nice loops with good turnover with any T11 MOW tip you want. I have also used the Airflo Skagit Switch in 450 gr when up against the bank. Both lines work well for me on this rod, but my preference is with the lighter head. The rod is so light in hand, a joy to fish all day long. The rod is not as stiff as some may think, just keep your form precise, slow and short. With the right amount of bottom hand you can generate a lot of line speed. My favorite rod at the moment. Sorry, but can't help you out with Scandi or other lines.
