Is that what you would call this tie?
Nope , I call it a swingin' masterpiece :smokin::smokin:
Love the colours on this one , great profile .... this will hunt well !!

I see the exagerated tails (long) are becoming more popular these days ... :hihi::hihi:
I started exagerating the tails on my flies 3 seasons ago when I noticed how the GP crests react on the swing .... and then started to fork them into a "V" shape as well :smokin:

Thanks guys, I do believe this would have been better suited on a straighter shank, I'm just not digging the shortness of the body. It'll hunt though!

Real nice fly, and since you are the sort to want to get even better... let me say 2 things.

1. wing at that length is maxed... maybe a touch long. generally shoot for the hook bend or a touch shorter.

2. Use a fuller feather for the cheek. I can tell this is only the tip of a feather, so try to select the right size feather that you don't have to strip as much material.

otherwise i think the proportions are good, not too short, you are just used to long shank dees and speys, but this sort of wet fly gives the tier much more room for creativity.

Matt, what feather did you use for the collar? Love this fly though.
Zach, I do declare it be from the ass of the pearl guinea good sir! Almost reminds me of BEP in its shape and stem, ill pluck a few later and post so you can see.
