Can someone recommend a switch line I can streamer fish with? Something I can strip. Fishing rivers with both weighted and standard streamers. Maybe a need for a floater and a sink tip. The rod I'm using is a Beulah 6/7 Classic. Comments please

Integrated Wulff Ambush has worked well for me. Loop on whatever tip you need (within reason) and go. Strip right to the line / tip junction before any connecting loops come in play. It's usually close enough.

With the right weight for your 6/7 no problems turning over T-11 up to 10' and maybe more. Poly leaders are a breeze.

The new SA Switch line called the Adapt is a GREAT line for fishing streamers with a switch...

Integrated running line which is nice in tight quarters...

Short head that will turn over big stuff well, yet does not have the thick heavy front end to it like a typical skagit head would, slows the swing some and just makes it a better fishing line in my opinion....

It has a textured portion at the arse end of the head so when fishing it at night, you can hear when you get to the sweet spot to re-cast, works GREAT for mousing...

You can make your own long mono leader and fish a mouse off it with no tip, you can add floating tips or sink tips, very versatile...

Highly recommend it, will be available soon.

Two new switch lines from Airflo on the way: the Switch Float and the Switch Streamer.

The Float version is basically a Rage taper redesigned for switch rods with an integrated running line. Overall head length is 31' to 34' and weights range from 175 to 490 spaced over six lines.

The Streamer version is much more chunky and designed for junk tossing. The head runs from 18' to 20' and the weights run from 300 to 420 spaced over five lines. The Streamer version also has an integrated line.

I don't have either one yet, but when I get my hands on them I'll be posting up a review.

Hey Kevin, what kind of weighted flies are you using, and are you strictly spey-casting or overhead as well? The more info the better.

Some of my flies don't have weight to them, just windy flies. I'm trying to roll cast and single spey,(I think). Flies like these.

Beulah Tonic 350, Ariflo Skagit Switch 360, Ambush 9WF 350 are all short and compact and will strip-in close without bringing the head into the guides. These will be best for anchored casts though: Snap-t and Double speys. Put together a set of tips each under 80 grains and you should be covered. :)
