Hey Paul,

Those 3-3/4" D Perfects are really hard to find. I've been looking for a long time to find one and have yet to see one for sale anywhere.

I did snag a nice 3-1/2" a few months back and what I'm finding is that the D's have narrower spools than the H's.
3-1/2" D Perfect spool is a tad over 3/4"
3-1/2" H Perfect spool is a tad over 1"

So I guess if you do find a 3-3/4" D Perfect it is going to be about the same size as a 4" H Perfect.
Something to consider if you need a lot of capacity.

looking for something to hold a 475 gr head or 6 wt 45' w.a. 20lb backing is fine...big trout/ dolly rod...small summer etc.
Something in the 8oz range...the 4" is perfect for the 7wt...this is a 6wt rod

Paul, a Taupo would be da bomb then. 8.5 oz.
