Ladies and Gents,
The Steelhead Society of BC will be having our AGM on February 26, 2005 @ 12 NOON sharp. WE will be having it at the Walnut Grove Community Centre located at: 8889 Walnut Grove Drive, Langley, BC, V1M 2N7

For Directions: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...e+Drive&city=Langley&state=BC&zipcode=V1M+2N7

We are pleased to note we will be having the following speakers present:

Craig Orr from Watershed Watch will be giving a presentation on Sea Lice;

Rob Bison from WLAP will be giving a presentation on Thompson river Steelhead management;

Al Caverly from WLAP will be giving a presentation on the Nicola Watershershed water use management plan and Coldwater gauge.

If you are a member you will be receiving your notice in the mail within the next week most likely (if you can not attend, please send in your proxy form!). If you are not a member but interested in attending as a guest (and if you are interested in potentially joining the Society) you are of course welcome (you don't have voting privileges though, which is for members only). Coffee, Tea, and baked goods will be provided.

And of course we will give the typical AGM Presidents, and Financial reports as well as a report from our Thompson Committee on what the SSBC has been involved on there.

Regards,
Scott Kirkpatrick
Vice President/Membership Chairman.

Does the Society maintain an active website now? Some of the archived material on the old site was very good.

At our last Executive meeting we decided to take some active steps re the website. The SSBC web-site will now be hosted by the Spey Clave server and Sean and Dana are going to up-grade the site. We are really looking forward to this - as it will allow us to up-date and upgrade the material on the site with great ease.

This up-grade will take place as soon as Sean can find the time - as you can imagine the change-over to the the new Spey Clave site has eaten up much of his time. However, when he gets it up and running for us it will be great! Keep an eye out for it.

thanks for the update...I will look for it and perhaps there will be more announcements on this board about it when the new, improved version appears?
