I know there will be a number of high quality presentations of the San Francisco extravaganza - but I couldn't wait. So here are a few of my shots.

I start with a look at the Golden Gate Casting Club itself - awesome...

No world class event would be complete without the Scandinavian Master himself - Goran Anderson.

Just because it was a bunch of fisherman it doesn't mean that fashion was missing. Far from it! The Scots - Bill Drury on the left and Ian Gordon to the right wowed the crowd. Especially when a rogue puff of wind "snuck up behind Ian! :whoa:

Then the Syrstad twins from Norway demonstrated "river fashion" - as well as some monstrous shooting head casts - with outrageously narrow loops.

CND's Tak Shimosawa (left) and Nobuo Nodera gave excellent presentations.

Now for a few shots of the venue and some of the participants - both outstanding :smokin:

Note the film crew in the next couple of shots. They are making a DVD that will be available through the Forum - it will be good!

And finally, here is the future of the sport. He may be looking for bass right now, but I'm sure it won't be too long before a flyrod is his hands. :hehe:

Jacob,

I do believe they were using Loomis rods, a model only available in Europe.

nice photos! What did the Syrstad brother cast whit? Foreclite???
In the competition Knut was supposed to use GLX Forcelite Spey 14'9, but because of an accident with that rod he had to borrow a 15' Trilogy.
