I had an amazing lesson with Lisa,Jerry and my friend Carl on the Farmington River this last Saturday. The instruction must have gone 4 hours!!! I learned so much!!! I am a newcomer to Spey casting. I thought I was "hooked" on spey before...after this incredible lesson I am completely obsessed. A special thank you to Carl for introducing me to two of the nicest and supportive people I've ever met in this world of fly fishing.

How far are you from the Farmington? It has some nice water to swing for trout and maybe an implanted land locked salmon.

I am about 2.5 hours from the Farmington. Lots of good swing water...as well as some wonderful dry fly pools. The Deerfield is about the same distance in the other direction and has even more swing opportunities. Looking forward to spending some time swinging streamers and wets.
