I like the colours on this one , looks like there would be an endless amount of movement too !!
Did you use arctic fox for the make up of this fly ??
Only thing I would add are JC nails for cheeks ... for me , not the fish :roll:

This would hunt in any river , nice post :)

Glad you like em Mike. I used Finn. Raccoon, Cashmere goat, arctic fox, a couple wraps of 3 different colors of schlappen and finished off the head with some crosscut rabbit spun in a dubbing loop to get rid of the hide for the head. Whew that was a bit long winded:whoa: I also added some flashabou and angle hair strands with complementing colors ontop of wing. JC would be a nice finishing touch! Happy Holidays!!!

lovely fly :)
we use in Europe huge amount of hair wing flies however mostly tied on short brass or tungsten tubes with free swinging hook or temple dog style on plastic tubes .
tying on hook is nice but due long shank a lot of fish unhooked during fight
