Tied my first Snow Fly last night. I've been very intrigued by this pattern recently and figured that I'd tie a few for an upcoming trip. Comments and critiques welcome.

Sweet leech man...

I recently moved to arctic fox for the head (cut a clump...remove the guard hairs and spin the soft fur in a loop).

Love your Snowfly. Is your body spun seals fur? What did you use for hackle? I think I'll tie a few of these. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This was a fun fly to tie, I think that it's going to pop in the water, the combo of blue, orange and peacock herl make it look very fishy. I tied it full on purpose, with the thought glacial tint waters. I had considered using fox for the head but went with angora dubbing, same as the body. I like the look of the fox head and will give that a shot. I used blue eared pheasant for the hackle. Can't wait to see it in the water.
