Working to combine a few elements as a modification of a very successful summer (Atlantics) tube tie from a few years back, I've come up with this wee unweighted tube for summer/early autumn trials:





All comments & critiques accepted gladly ;)

Nice Mike,

I have taken to fishing with many Willie Gunn and Sunray style flies over the past couple years, this one looks like a fish getter.

Very nice. I think I can interpret the dressing, but do you mind listing it for me. PB is no problem here, just trying to make out colour mix etc. Thanks!

You could fish those for just about anything. I need to spend a little more time on tubes. Well played.

1.8 - 2mm od plastic tube ~ 1/2" long
Butt: Fluo red floss (globrite #4)
Body: varigated metallic thread (gold through copper), with fine silver tinsel rib
Wing: light orange PB, 6 strands flat pearl flash, paired small grizzle hackle feathers on top
Hackle: hot orange dyed badger hackle
Head: black silk, clear varnish
