I really like this pattern and you did a fine job with it. Try (if you don't already) Using some smooth flat pliers to flatten the tippets (or crest) stem before tying in so you have a flat surface to tie in. I would have preferred turkey for the wing so it doesn't curve so much but it should fish well how it is. Overall great fly!

Like Josh said, to keep the stems from rolling crush em. I'm too lazy for pliers, plus my flat ones don't work well anymore. so i use my thumbnails to flatten stems with a sort of scraping motion. It works 99% of the time every time.
