I called a fly shop to order Sagit Master 1 with Ed Ward and was told that video is no longer available in stores, only from, I assume, the Skagit Master web site. I called another shop who basically confirmed the info, saying his distributor was no longer able to order it. Both shops had SM 2-3-4 in stock. Seems a bit odd, but oh well, at least it's still available. Not complaining, just letting those who want SM1 to know where to order it.

The handle came out very well indeed, with a varnished bottom grip and nice cork inlays. There was a stripping guide on the butt, so Steve had to cut the reel seat off, I bought a Meiser seat to replace it. Great work by all! I've been having a blast practicing, the rod is great! This Wednesday/Thursday I plan to put a hook with a point on the leader and go fishing with the rod, so "winged" ones won't be the only type of turkey on the river this Thanksgiving!
