Anyone fish the Skagit the last couple of days since it got cold out? Seems like it ought to be getting into pretty good shape about now.

i live in the lower mainland in BC and going to try out the skagit for the first time this year... i will be wading and fishing as i don't have access to a boat. I have no idea about the river at all except some pictures and reading a little about in books.
Any interested in pm'ing me and letting me know where on the river would be a good starting point... i don't mind hiking around just need that little info as to where a good starting point would be.

thanks

Trade ya' info,

The Skagit above the Sauk has about 2 1/2' of viz. Below the Sauk it drops down to around 18". Below the Baker... fugeddaboudit, it's less than a foot.

So, how's the vis on the Sky below the Sultan?
