I was checking out the vids on Dana's site and was interested to see that Choate's terrific switch casting also provides a good view of the shock dimple. This post is just a heads up for folks who want to see a dimple propogate on a really long cast. Concentrate on the rod tip.

Roger that Steve.

'Last Cast Steve' is not a large man at all. 6, maybe 6-1, appears to be well under 200 pounds in weight (could be wrong on these numbers, but not too far off) but long muscled (sp?) and the reflex of a cat. Should also say, I see the same thing with a few other casters.

The last 'wrist snap' reloading the rod from below as the line lays out has POWER that just flows down the line. The line laying out looks like a 'sign wave curve' in the air.

Really something to watch .......
