Many of us have fished with 'the pooch,' she passed away in my arms this evening.

I'm not in a good place; a friend, an unconditional love, has left us for a better place.

God be with us all; and I'm sure, she is in his arms at this moment.

Fred-
Sorry to hear that. When one looses a pooch, one loses a best freind.

Hopefully Ma Nature will send her condolences via a steelie or two! :)

Words can't express....

Fred, words can't express my sympathy at the loss of a "faithful companion"- more trouble than my kids were in their early years, and even in old age, they still think they are puppies.

Yet, they are always there to welcome you, rain or shine, always cheery, and happy as can be, especially for a "snack". And they look up to you with trusting eyes, always sure that you will "know what to do" in any situation.

I really am sorry that Sheba is gone. All that we really have are good memories, and maybe a favorite picture or two of "a major part of our lives".

Wish I could be there to empathize, but I'm there in kind thought.
