Thanks Leland, you da man! At this point, I am not 100% sure I can actually make it in Feb. but with Dana and a rapidly growing number of volunteers stepping up from our large PNW ranks I'm sure we'll be in fantastic shape!
I am going to contact Chuck at the Flyfishing Show and ask him if he'll move the show date out a month or two just for me so I can combine the trip with a steelhead trip :hehe:
Truth is with two in college my family budget can't handle all the airline tickets and with the Spey Clave in Oregon coming up in early May, fall greaseline fishery, saltchuck coho, etc, etc - I might as well move back! (if it weren't for my dear wife I would!)
I suppose it's far enough into the winter run that it's feasible to hit a fish then, but the conditions may not cooperate and the water temps are bound to be cold. I'll probably only get one trip next year so I have to play the odds carefully. Still don't rule it out. I am thinking of asking for an airline ticket for Xmas this year to get me to this show.
Forum Trivia: The first flyshow ever for the Flyfishing Forum was my combined Xmas and birthday present, a gift from my family. I had second thoughts back then, thinking I could've had a nice Spey rod instead, but once the show started it was worth every penny and more with the outpouring of support from the members who volunteered their time and energy to making a mark at the show.
We've come a long way!
