Depends which taper.
Airflo 480 gr while and 510. The first one is more backloaded and feels heavier. It has longer, leveled rear part of the head then Rio. If you decide to use 10' polyleaders, for best presentation/turnover stay at no more then 45-50gr poly.

Rio feels a bit smothers then Airflo.

I've been trying to figure out what the difference is between Rio Scandis and Airflo, Sazan. I forever assumed that they were the same enough to be interchangeable as long as they were the same grain weight (as close as possible). But my Burkheimer 7127 says that the Airflo 420 casts very differently than the Rio 420. I get a more compact wedge and the line lands on the water lighter with the Airflo.

I don't have the 8139-4, but I have the 8134, and they appear to have fairly similar line recommendations. I've been throwing a Nextcast 45 Fall Favorite lately, and love it. Like a long scandi, it just rockets off the 8134.

I do have an 8139-3, and have been using the Winter Authority 55 8/9 on that, and also great, when I'm on it. I'm working with the 45 on the 8134 til I feel more ready for the 55 on the 8139.

8139-4 is more of a wt. 7/8 relatively wt.8 8134-4, albeit generates more line speed then 8134-4. My 8139-4 was made in early summer 2013.

I too use a 540 Rage on this rod and find it works beautifully. If I decide to switch up from a floater to, say, 10' of T-7 the Rage has no problem with the change. Overall, this setup is quite versatile for me and has become my go-to Fall setup on most Skeena system waters. The exceptions being my 8152-4 on the Skeena itself and my 7117-4 on the Morice.
