Under wing tied in first
372566

Shorter fibres first stacked like a sandwhich, the old books seem to list these fibres first.
372567

Then I add colour and natural fibres again in a stack, I tend to do 6-8 fibres natural
4-5 colour
372568

mount wing in if fibres get out of place no worries fish don鈥檛 care .
372569

tie in sides or shoulders a long with horns or mallard if called for. Bring thread to front of head, push head cement into open fibres, add head cement or liquid wax, allowing it to tack up

apply a wool noodle, wrap to back to wing . Whip it and fish it 馃憣馃憤.
Hope this helps

Wonderful SBS !!
Just for clarity, the wing style you promote is a "Blacker" style (as brocktree has mentioned already). He was known as a "built wing" specialist.
And this is how I too fashion my built wings.
Your flies are excellent and very inspirational to me and I'm sure to many others here :)
