There have been at least three reels from Joe over the years that have acquired the nickname Alta. One was a variation of the SCA series, one was a particularly large version of his Deluxe series, and I've also heard of one in his Mark IV/V series, although I'm not sure that big one ever got made. I can tell you that the SCA version, which was made specifically for his Norwegian dealer, is very scarce and is more likely to be stumbled upon over there than here. I think Joe told me only about 8 or 10 were made.

i have bin for them on a messa for Salmologic in germany last weekend.
