Hi Guys, I'm taking my daughter to Portland next week to look at colleges and am going to try to steal a couple hours Friday, February 28, to fish the Sandy. I'm a Montana trout fisherman and have never fished the Sandy. I'm not asking for secret spots but if anyone could direct me to a stretch of river where I might make a few spey casts I'd sure appreciate it. One friend tried to direct me to a couple runs on the opposite bank from Oxbow Park, but I'm not very familiar with the roads. I'll also need to pick up a day license somewhere. Thanks, Keith

Mark Backman of Flyfishing USA in Welchs, OR (and a board spon.) knows every rock in that river. Look at the rolling adds (or go to flyfishusa.com for his web site.

Great People, great info, and freely given.

Bit scarry though when they know your voice on the phone and have your credit card number memorized. :D Too many purchases??? Naaaaaa.
