I have been looking for a new line and I have a question. Is the sage 7141 more suitable for the fast action of a skagit line or the slower action of a Scandinavian line.

Any recommendations?

I think you have that backwards. The Skagit is a little easier for most with the traditional, action rod. In reality both work, with different technique. The Skagit is better for heavy flies, so where and how you fish is the determiner.

Nice Rod

IMHO the 7141 is one of the best lanks Sage ever made. When properly lined you will find it suitable for Skagit, Scandinavian, or Mid Belly fishing.

Try lines in the different classes and see how they suit you fishing approaches on your fishing water. Select what works for you.

If you don't have a local shop who can help you with this contact me. I have people in Ontario who have varieties of the lines I carry and will help you try them
