Sage 509 - SOLD

Sage 509 SOLD

Made by Hardy (England) in 1980s. Machined barstock, anodized, rim control, nickel silver line guard, L/R retrieve convertible. Heavy-duty spring and pawl for anadromous / larger fish species. Full frame construction will not snag monofilament running lines.

7.6 oz empty, 3 7/8" diameter, 7/8" usable width - tiny bit smaller than a Salmon 1. Suitable for 7-8-9 wt single handers and small two-handers. Holds DT9 or 500 gr head with plenty of backing.

Reel has strong check and is very tight. Photos show light use - a nick and a sticker shadow on the frame side, and sparse edge wear on spool side. I fish several (old, beat up) 509s, selling this backup to make some room.

Buyer covers shipping. I cover paypal
